The 67th anniversary of the Republic Day of India was celebrated in the Embassy of India, Moscow this morning. The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Ambassador H.E. Shri Pankaj Saran followed by singing of National Anthem and reading out of the President’s address to the Nation. On the occasion, Ambassador greeted the Indian community in Russia and also thanked all those who participated in the function. The event also included a cultural performance by the children from the Embassy of India School, Moscow. Several hundred people including Indian citizens, people of Indian origin and Russian nationals braved the bitter January cold, with temperature dipping to minus 22 degree Celsius, to be part of this joyous celebration.
