Notice
This is to bring to the notice of the OCI applicants and OCI cardholders that the Online OCI webportal at https:/ociservices.gov.in/welcome has been modified under “OCI Miscellaneous Services” to facilitate updating details of new passport (each time a new passport is issued upto 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age) and reissue of OCI card once a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age.
A separate sub-portal under the name “Apply for Special Permission (only for OCI cardholders)” has been created in the Online OCI Webportal to facilitate the OCI card holder to apply for Special Permission.
“Extension of timeline for handwritten travel documents (PIO Cards): The handwritten travel documents (PIO Cards) will be accepted at all Indian Immigration Check Post(s) till 31st December 2024 for exit / entry into India. The extension of timeline is subject to the condition that if in the meantime any deadline is notified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) thereby making hand written PIO cards invalid, then PIO cardholders may have to obtain appropriate visa from Indian Missions/Posts. It is further advised that all the PIO cardholders with valid PIO cards as on 09.01.2015 apply for conversion of PIO card to OCI card at the earliest.
For further information regarding applying for OCI Card, visit the link https://ociservices.gov.in/welcome. For any specific queries related to PIO to OCI conversion, please email cons1.moscow@mea.gov.in.”
