Medical visa

A Medical visa is issued to individuals traveling to India for medical treatment in recognized hospitals/treatment centers.

Allowed Attendees:

- Up to two attendants who are blood relatives can accompany the applicant under Medical Attendant visas
- Medical Attendant visa has the same validity as the Medical visa

List of Treatable Ailments:

- Neuro-surgery
- Ophthalmic disorders
- Heart-related problems
- Renal disorders
- Organ transplantation
- Congenital disorders
- Gene-therapy
- Radio-therapy
- Plastic surgery
- Joint replacement

Visa Validity:

- Initial duration: up to 1 year or period of treatment, whichever is less
- Maximum 3 entries during 1 year

List of Required Documents:

In addition to basic visa documents, the following supporting documents are required:

1. Appendix V (filled by Indian Hospital with stamp and signature of Doctor)
2. Letter of invitation from concerned Hospital in India with signature and stamp
3. Copy of Analyses with English translation
4. Conclusion from Russian Hospital about examination with English translation
5. Original letter from Russian Hospital in English (on company letterhead with original stamp and signature)
6. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation or Registration of the company with English translation (not notarized)
7. If the applicant has dual citizenship, a copy of the second passport is required

Additional Documents:

- The Embassy of India reserves the right to demand any additional documents
- Citizens of other countries must provide:
- Copy of migration card
- Copy of registration certificate/visa
- Evidence of work in the Russian Federation for more than 2 years
- If living in Russia for the last two years, copies of supporting documents (visa/registration, work permit, residence permit, etc.)
