"It has been brought to the notice of the Government of India that a number of fake visa websites are operating on the internet, claiming to provide e-Tourist Visa services to visa applicants desiring to travel to India. In recent months, there has been an increasing number of complaints relating to frauds perpetrated by these websites. In order to mislead applicants, some of these websites have created images and home page templates mimicking the Government of India websites for e-Tourist Visa applicants. A few prominent ones out of these are listed below :
i. e-touristvisaindia.com
ii. indianvisaonline.org.in
iii. e-visaindia.com
All the visa applicants are hereby informed that the correct website is indianvisaonline.gov.in. It is further advised not to deal with other websites that do not belong to the Government of India and therefore should not be relied on for e-Tourist Visa services.
