Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre organized a painting exhibition by a renowned Russian artist, Ms Olga Konorova, on May 16, 2016.
Ambassador Pankaj Saran inaugurated the exhibition and complemented Ms. Konorova for her fine works of art. He underlined the importance of such exhibitions in spreading awareness and furthering better understanding between the people of India and Russia.
The paintings remarkably captivated the beauty and simplicity of Indian people and culture. Ms. Ekaterina Shinkareva, Scientific Member of the State Museum of Oriental Arts also spoke on the inauguration.
Au audience of over 100 included the renowned members of the Russian arts community. The exhibition will go on till May 30, 2016.
