Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre organized a dance concert by eminent Kuchipudi dancers from India Shri Jaikishore Mosalikanti and his wife Smt. Padmavani Mosalikanti on May 12, 2016 at Music Hall in Moscow.
Concert was inaugurated with tradition of lighting of lamp. In his opening remarks the chief guest, Mr. G. Balasubramanian, Deputy Chief of Mission welcomed the audience and outlined the closed cultural cooperation between Russia and India. He encouraged organization of the concert as it help in better understanding of Indian culture by Russian friends and will lead to close people to people contact. The concert was attended by over 500 people.
A lecture cum demonstration on tradition and history of Kuchipuddi dance form by Shri Jaikishore Mosalikanti and Smt. Padmavani Mosalikanti was held in DP Dhar Hall of Embassy of India on May 13, 2016 which was attended by local Kuchipudi teachers and students.
