PM Modi’s address at the BRICS leaders meeting in Hangzhou


Prime Minister H.E. Mr.  Narendra Modi participated in an informal meeting of the BRICS leaders on the sidelines of the G20 Summit meeting in Hangzhou, China on 4 September 2016. In his address, he appreciated the Russian Presidency of the last BRICS Summit for ably guiding us in organizing the BRICS this year.

The Prime Minister extended invitations to all the BRICS leaders for the upcoming BRICS Summit next month in Goa. He underlined that “our summit next month would not only be an opportunity to deepen ties with ourselves, we will also interact with India’s neighboring countries of BIMSTEC – Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand, who have been invited for the outreach summit.”
