Moscow, the 4th of December. The Russian and Indian Authorities will seek new opportunities for cooperation. This was stated by the Ambassador of India in Russia just prior to President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Delhi, reported the TV channel “MIR 24”.

He will be the first to visit since the new Cabinet of Ministers of India came to power. According to the Ambassador, the Government of India intends to bring relations with Russia to a new level. Last year, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 10 billion dollars. The Indian Authorities would like to increase this figure several-fold.

“The basis of close cooperation is the friendship and trust that have existed for many decades. In recent years, our relations have acquired new dynamics, a new character. The forthcoming summit will allow our leaders to find new opportunities for collaboration and to understand how to further it in those spheres in which it has not as yet been so well developed”, – said Ambassador of India Pundi Srinivasan Raghavan.
